It is an honour to have been elected to represent Warrington South in Parliament. I will fight for Warrington in Parliament and I will, to the best of my ability, help any constituent who needs my assistance – regardless of how they vote.

The Coalition Government has set itself the task of getting public spending back under control and this is slowly working. It has and will involve difficult decisions and tough choices, but unless we act now it will be our children and grandchildren who will be forced to clear up our mess.

But even in these tough times, we have been able to provide support for hardworking families: we have increased the tax-free allowance; frozen fuel duty; capped welfare payments; introduced a triple-lock guarantee for pensioners; capped immigration and, because of the tough decisions we have taken, kept interest rates low to protect millions of homeowners from rising mortgage costs.

Slowly but surely we are taking the necessary decisions to get this country back on the path to prosperity.
