Jeremy Hunt hosts Media Summit in Warrington

Jeremy Hunt, shadow secretary of state for culture, Media and Sport visited the town to meet with key represenatives of local media to discuss the issues which are currently being faced.

Hunt says "a thriving local media is essential for a thriving local democracy.....over the last 5 years many hundreds of local papers have closed or merged........this is not right.....in the US a town the size of Warrington would have at least two local TV channels..........."
