Thelwall Cubs Award Ceremony
October 23rd
David was honoured to have been asked to present achievement badges to members of the Thelwall Cub Scout Pack. Three cubs received their silver awards which is the highest level of recognition prior to moving onto the Scouts.
Conservative Conference Fringe
October 7th
Mowat spoke at a conference fringe meeting on the need for an upgraded rail infrastructure in Warrington. In the short term we just need more carriages on the commuter lines into Manchester and Liverpool. But in the longer term we need:
-the electrification of the Liverpool/Manchester line through Warrington. Incredibly the Government have recently announced that the non-Warrington line (through through Newton le Willows is a higher priority).........must be more Labour marginal seats that way.
-equally important is to press on with the Manchester hub project which will have a number of benefits for the town.......not least by making it far easier to get to Leeds and the East coast through Manchester.
